The Duddon Valley provides a wealth of walks to suit all abilities with easy access to the Coniston and Eskdale fells. The Dunnerdale Fells of Stickle Pike and Great Stickle afford stunning views of the Cumbrian mountains.
There is a guide, “Three Jewels of Lakeland” in the cottage giving various walks in the area, some starting from the door
